What are the most important things I should consider when choosing a dog groomer?
As any dog owner would, I’m sure, agree, the most important thing to consider when choosing a groomer is safety. There are so many stories in the press that paint groomers in a bad light and for me the most important thing to see would be that the groomer had considered the negatives that are highlighted in the press and taken steps to ensure that these reports don’t relate directly to their business. Qualifications should be visible. A calm and friendly nature and most importantly patience. The best groomers in the world are the most patient ones. To facilitate this though, we as customers must do our part and also be patient. Not all dogs take the same amount of time. Groomers are always fighting against the owners perception of how long things should take so listen to the groomer and do as they say. They usually speak with the dogs welfare in mind.
