At PAAW HQ we believe that responsibly owned pets are part of the family. How do you feel about clauses that ban pet ownership? Especially given that they exist in most leasehold developments but are only enforced in some. Is it fair that the decision to grant permission varies from place to place depending on who’s in charge?.

I’m lucky enough to own my own flat but so many of my friends really struggle to find flats to rent with their dogs! I understand some landlords ask for larger deposits but clear guidelines that help us as pet owners would be most welcome!

Although its a massive problem for those looking to rent these clauses also impact those in social housing and private homeowners as many leasehold properties also have (illegal) blanket bans. A review of these bans is defiantly long overdue.

Bans like this are silly and out of date, definitely needs review. You have support of me and pawernts, we’ve signed your campaign. Love Bella
