At PAAW House we are passionate about the human-animal bond, aside from the companionship and unconditional love we receive from our pets we also believe that pets have a positive impact in our lives, our relationships and our health. What does the human-animal bond mean to you? How do your pets enhance your lives?

My dogs, Harry and Millie, are the centre of my life. I make my life decisions based around them and ensure they are happy physically, mentally and emotionally. I don’t know if that makes my daft, but i don’t care!! i do agility and canicross with them and we are all a great little team who love to hang out and enjoy the outside. I am in my fifties and they have given me a new level of lifestyle, fitness and community of other crazy dog people which makes me really happy. who knew it could be so much more than just pet ownership!!!!

I agree, anything that makes life better is a good thing in my book. We don’t have a pet due to our life style however we love to borrow one occasionally 🙂

I suffer with a chronic condition and for me when i’m having a flare up having my dog by my side is the best type of medicine – her unconditional love is the best ♥️

My mother has bad arthritis, but our family dog helps to comfort her and she’s able to walk him 1-2 times a day which helps her joints stay as mobile as possible but not only that he’s very much the 5 member of our family – always there with cuddles when we need it!

Dogs are the best, could never think of anyone who makes life decisions around their pets as daft, quite the opposite in fact, I’ve lost count of the number of events and trips I have cancelled when the one person I will leave little Vinnie with has been unavailable. If humans were more like dogs the world would likely be a happier place…

I suffer with anxiety from time to time, my little Noodle gives me a calming effect no medication can touch. Also having to leave the house to walk her makes sure I get out even if I’m not feeling like it!

Dog’s provide support in so many ways! Since i moved to London my Frenchie has helped me meet soooo many people I wouldn’t have met had it not been for her! She’s even helped me get work but best of all is her happiness when I return home from a hard day, priceless!
