[ Wild at Heart Foundation. ]

At PAAW House we are passionate about animal welfare and admire the work and dedication of everyone who works to make the lives of animals better.

We are delighted to support the Wild at Heart Foundation’s great work across the world, making a difference to the lives of dogs.

Why the Wild at Heart Foundation? Our little dog Vinnie is a much-loved member of the family, he is not a rescue. Why? Because we quite honestly didn’t know very much about rescue animals, until we got out and about meeting people with our little dog. Fast forward a couple of months and we were introduced to a whole new world of rescue stories, and Vinnie had a bunch of new buddies many of whom had been rescued.

PAAW HOUSE

We’ve personally supported a number of rescue charities over the years, when we started our PAAW journey many of these charities were on a shortlist we hoped to support/partner with. The Wild at Heart Foundation was the one who welcomed us with open arms, like we had been part of the community forever and our relationship with them has gone from strength to strength ever since.

“The Wild at Heart Foundation believes in dogs. Dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. Dogs from all over the world, especially dogs who aren’t fortunate enough to be born into a life of health and happiness. It is this belief that inspires them to fund and support dog rescue and adoption projects all over the world to help reduce the world’s stray dog population.

The Wild at Heart Foundation wants to end the suffering of these amazing creatures through their international rescue and adoption work, sterilisation and education programmes”.

How can you help us help our friends at The Wild at Heart Foundation? You can donate directly on their website, join us at our charity events, get in touch with them to discuss fostering or adopting their rescue dogs and tune in to founder Nikki Tibbles Podcast “Dog Bless You” to learn more about their work.

[ StreetVet. ]

We are proud to support StreetVet, a registered charity made up of volunteer vets and nurses that offer free accessible, vet care to pets (mostly dogs) of the homeless.

Why StreetVet? The PAAW team are all connected by our love for our dogs, we are also very aware of the problem of homelessness in the UK and the challenges facing those who experience it. Being a people person, I have always been drawn to meeting new people, making friends and hearing their stories. Living in London, we encounter new people in all sorts of places and sadly one of those places is on our streets.

A charity that supports the dogs/pets of the homeless and works to address misconceptions facing the homeless and their much-loved dogs.

PAAW HOUSE

I always try to make time to say hello and have a kindly word with the homeless in our local area, with or without pets, we have a few regular pals who we stop to have a natter with on our daily walks, one common thread, they are all lonely and all have a story to tell, I’ve met artists, musicians, writers and those who just got a raw deal in life.

Nobody chooses to be homeless, in fact the only people I have ever met who have made a choice between a bed for the night and the street, are those with dogs who are not allowed into sheltered accommodation with their companions! A charity that supports the dogs/pets of the homeless and works to address misconceptions facing the homeless and their much-loved dogs was a natural fit, the fact that co-founder Jade and her team are a genuinely lovely crew is a Bonus and we really enjoy working together.

How can you help StreetVet? You can donate directly on their webpage, purchase an item from their Amazon Wishlist, attend one of our charity events or simply follow them on social media and spread the word.
